Michael Londra’s Celtic Yuletide, an enchanting evening of festive stories, songs, tunes and dance from the heart of Ireland is coming Kearney this Holiday season. Show front-man and one of Ireland’s leading tenors, Michael Londra is backed by a talented Irish band and a world class, champion dancer direct from Riverdance. Michael Londra’s Celtic Yuletide is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit and will play the World Theatre on Friday December 6th, 2019 at 7pm.

Celtic Yuletide is a heartwarming live show that will have the audience singing, clapping and tapping its feet. The live show is a wonderful blend of the old and the new. Holiday classics, traditional Irish carols, lively dance music and heart-wrenching slow airs sweeps the listener away to Ireland at Christmastime. The Houston Chronicle calls Michael’s voice "clear as a crystalline stream" whether performing traditional Irish carols such as “Winter, Fire and Snow” and “The Wexford Carol”, Gaelic versions of Christmas songs "Oiche Ciuin" (Silent Night), or timeless Holiday favorites “The First Noel” and “O Come All Ye Faithful” the tenor’s stellar voice is certain to enthrall.

For Celtic Yuletide Michael Londra is backed by his longstanding band of uber-talented Irish musicians including Mellad Abeid on guitar, David Schulz on pipes and whistles, Jamie Reynolds on keyboard and Catherine Cowell on fiddle. Incredible dancing from World Champion dancer Joe Duffey rounds out the evening. Michael loves to regal his audience with stories of Ireland at Christmas, traditions such as the Wren Boys on St Stephen’s Day (Dec 26th), Nollaig na mBán (Ladies Christmas) and the origins of The Wexford Carol, from his home county.

Wexford-born tenor, Michael Londra’s big breaks came as lead singer in Riverdance on Broadway in 2001 and when his rendition of Danny Boy has become a YouTube sensation with over 8 million views. Since then he has performed in over 40 countries around the world & has recorded with the legendary Luciano Pavarotti and André Bocelli.
